RAY CASHMAN

Ray Cashman is a blues singer, songwriter and guitarist, who performs mainly solo or as a  duo and occasionaly with a electric band. Armed with a National guitar, stomp box and a Fender amp he performs a blues gumbo repertoire that can conjure up the ghosts of the Mississippi delta. Cashman grew up outside of Conroe, TX, listening to older black men play guitar, sing and drink. “They would sell us BBQ sandwiches and Budweiser beer. We would sit around and listen to them play music and tell stories”, and the influences of that are certainly everywhere in his music.

Filled with years of experience from travel and inspirations of Southern Gothic literature his songs are filled with passion and feelings and honesty and subtly be damned.

Cashman’s 2007 release Texassippi Stomp which featured Jimbo Mathus,( Squirell Nut Zippers, Buddy Guy) was widely praised and placed on a number of critics year end best of lists for blues recordings.  Since 2003 Cashman has toured England, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy and the USA from the Gulf Coast to Canada and sea to shining sea. SHAD BLAIR

Texas singer/songwriter Shad Blair was born and raised on a cattle ranch southeast of Post, Texas, learning to play guitar and sing from his dad and older brothers. He wore out his parents’ old country vinyl, spending the long Texas summers soaking up the music of Merle Haggard, Gene Watson, Johnny Cash, Bobby Helms, and Hank Williams. At age 14, Shad’s father taught him to play “Fraulein” and soon after he began playing gigs, later working in the oilfields to put himself through college. Over the years, Shad has created a sound hardened by life experience and steeped in his influences including Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt, and Steve Earle, to name a few.

GABE WOOTTON

From the piney woods of East Texas to the flat lands outside Lubbock, from the rolling prairies of Central Texas to the sandy shores of the Virgin Islands, Gabe Wootton has covered more than a few miles. With an eye on the horizon and an ear in the wind, he has found melody in the mundane and rhyme in the hum of life. A sketch of scenes in passing, character studies of the broken and the jubilant, triumphant tales of ruin to joyful lamentations of woe, Gabe’s songs run the gamut incorporating elements of all the music he has stumbled upon throughout his life.
