Saturday, March 17th – The 14th Annual Galveston Island Humane Society Benefit

We were talking with Carolyn, the head of the Galveston Island Humane Society, after Ike. She said they were overwhelmed with the amount of animals people left behind when evacuating for Ike. So, we have been trying to make sure that 1st, people are better educated about the horrible things that happen when a hurricane or tropical storm strikes Galveston and 2nd, that the animals in your homes are part of your family and should not be left behind.

The Galveston Island Humane Society Benefit is on March 17th. This will be our 14th annual benefit.

We realize not everyone can go out and buy things for the benefit.  If you can afford making a donation of something you bought or cash, then God bless you. If you can’t go to the store and buy something, then look around your house and garage. You may find items you had forgotten about that could really help these brave homeless animals.

Please bring:

Cat and Dog food, supplies like old clean towels or linens, clean toilet seats (cats love to make their beds in them) animal crates, clean dog and cat toys and rugs. They also need office supplies, cleaning products, old clean towels for cleaning, and gloves.  Cash donations will also be accepted.

Lets make this the best benefit of all.

You Know Dats Right!
